Berks County (Penn.) Fishing Derby

Berkshire County Whitetails Ice Fishing Derby ~ January, 20, 2021 - Young fellow pictured won the tournament with a 6 lb. 14 oz. large mouth. A lot of great fish were caught; and 2nd and 3rd prize were separated by only one ounce. Congratulations to all!

Creston (Iowa) - The Creston Chapter of Iowa has a great core group of volunteers that help run the raffles at the chapter banquet each year, and their event last November was no exception. Shown (left to right): Kim Hoepker, Shawna Debord, Carey Lynam, Kenda Linderman, Greg Beggs, Emily Cook, and Kim Mullin. Field Director Tim Powers said that volunteers are the essential component in making a banquet a success, and this group is the perfect example of great volunteers who have a great time at the event!

Franklin County Chapter Banquet (VT) - Saturday, September 11, 2021

Innagural Todd Eubanks Memorial Youth Hunt ~ Louisiania - Hosted by Elvis Phillips, WTU Field Director, the WTU Caldwell Chapter, and the Army Corps of Engineers on October 9, 2021, and it was a great success! Nine youth participated in the hunt and they harvested 11 deer!

Kids Fishery Day ~ Mauston, Wisconsin - Bires Pond in Mauston was the location of a Kids Fishery Day on February 7, 2021. It was a very cold day, but still a good turnout with about 75 youth attending. The Necedah and Beaver Dam WTU Chapters both made contributions to help provide each youth with a pole and bait box. Long time chapter(s) volunteer Jeff Richart assisted with organizing the event. He also donated and served up hot dogs and hot chocolate while sporting his WTU attire.

NASP World Participants - The Bussreon Creek Chapter of Indiana had local youth attend the World National Archery in the Schools Program during the 2021 summer. Our compliments on a great year!

Outdoorsman Challenge Golf Outing ~ Kinsman, OH - October 10, 2021 - 37 foursome team outing with Abe Lincoln hitting first ball.

Youth Outdoor Activity Day ~ Alexandria. Minnesota - August 29, 2021 ~ There were 44 activities for kids to participate. Again this year, Whitetails Unlimited supported Fire Building. Volunteers were Steve Jorud and Brent Birkeland from Alexandria, and Tanner and Buck Nordlof from Baudette. We estimate that about 1,500 kids did the fire building activity. This is a great event supported by all the local outdoor related clubs and organizations.
