Whitetails Unlimited recently granted $8,699 to the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation on behalf of the Bayfield County Chapter in Wisconsin. Since 2019, the Bayfield Chapter has given $35,000 to WWIA, with all the funds directly supporting combat wounded soldiers as they connect and heal through the outdoors. This is done with no cost to the veterans.
WWIA provided real services to 166 Purple Heart recipients this past year. WWIA encourages American Heroes to get back in action; hunting and fishing provide excellent opportunities to assist our wounded veterans in recovering— mentally, physically, and spiritually—from their wartime experiences.
Whitetails Unlimited supports various veterans organizations such as WWIA to help veterans get back in the outdoors as a part of our Preserving the Hunting Tradition program. This program focuses on increasing hunting opportunities and providing outdoor experiences for youth, women, veterans, and those with a disability.
