Whitetails Unlimited Grants $10,000 to Linn County Iowa Conservation

01/31/2024

Whitetails Unlimited recently granted $10,000 to the Linn County Conservation Board located in Toddville, Iowa. The funds will be used for the acquisition of a 57 acre tract of land that will be designated for archery hunting of deer. The 57 acre parcel is adjacent to an 83 acre piece of land that is referred to as the Bird Preserve.

The Linn County Conservation Board has been working with the Rae Jeanne Kilberger Foundation the past few years to accept the 83 acre parcel. Funding efforts are currently under way to purchase the additional 57 acres. Both properties are located west of Cedar Rapids and will be used for archery deer hunting only per Rae Jeanne’s request.
