Whitetails Unlimited has granted $147,233 to various mission related projects in the state of Mississippi over the past fiscal year. Sixteen different organizations received grants pertaining to outdoor education, habitat enhancement, and hunting and shooting sports preservation. This was done in large part with the assistance of 18 Whitetails Unlimited Mississippi chapters.
Thousands of veterans and youth participate in hunting in Mississippi every year. Through its Preserving the Hunting Tradition Program, Whitetails Unlimited provides grants for installation of food plots and corn feeders for use during youth and veteran hunts. Proper management helps maintain wildlife populations at levels compatible with their habitat, provides wholesome recreational opportunities, and permits the use of a valuable renewable resource.
