Whitetails Unlimited has granted $442,384 to various mission-related projects in the state of Ohio over the past fiscal year. More than 150 different organizations received grants pertaining to outdoor education, habitat enhancement, and hunting and shooting sports preservation. This was done in large part with the help of Whitetails Unlimited's 40 Ohio chapters.
A large portion of the funds were spent through WTU's Preserving the Hunting Tradition program, which focuses on Hunter Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3), increasing hunting opportunities, and providing outdoor experiences to youth, women, veterans, and those with a physical disability. Another large portion of these funds were granted to several shooting sport groups throughout the state including NASP, 4-H shooting sports and clay target teams.
